I had so much fun shopping for candy-free Easter baskets for my girls. I wanted to fill them with usable goodies and find some creative items as well. I picked out the baskets from Target which can be reused on their dressers for hairbows or whatnot. I found the other items at Target, TJ Maxx and Cost Plus World Market. Emelia got a stuffed animal, a pair of bunny ears, a board book and a rubber ducky for the bath. Chloe got a stuffed animal, a pair of bunny ears, new sunglasses, a sticker pack, gardening gloves with 3 little grow kits and a sugar cookie (I couldn’t resist!). We also added some Minnie Mouse ears for our Disneyland trips.
There were so many other ideas I had, but wanted to keep it simple. But for next time, how about …
- coloring book with fun markers, crayons or colored pencils
- hairbows for little girls
- journal or diary for older kids
- finger puppets
- stamps
- toy cars
- fun socks
- playdough
- bubbles
Or how about edible swap-outs for candy? Like …
- trail mix
- fruit snacks
- granola
- homemade muffins
- crackers
- tangerine
- banana or apple
What did you put in your children’s Easter basket or plan to? Happy Easter! xoxo, Heidi
