Is there anything more fun as a parent than surprising your kids? I love surprising my girls with simple little things and a fun snack along with a craft is a common surprise in our house! For this activity, I filled up an appetizer tray with some Halloween-themed snacks (just stuff I bought at Trader Joe’s!) and set out a craft that I knew both girls could do with little to no help. That’s not always easy with a nearly-two year old!
I grabbed craft pumpkins from Target, tissue paper, Modpodge, paint brushes and glitter. Pretty darn simple ~ paint the pumpkin with modpodge, tear pieces of tissue paper and lay all over the pumpkin, cover in more modpodge, then sprinkle with glitter. Let dry and voila! The girls then chose from my yarns and fabric pieces to tie bows on the stems 🙂
Such an easy craft and perfect for a variety of ages! Hope this inspires you to try this at home.
xoxo,
Heidi
