Dinosaurs and rainbows … an unlikely pair, but when your 5 old asks for it, you deliver! It all started when Frost Your Cookie sent us the cutest girly dinosaur cookie kit, and I told Chloe that I wish we could use these darling cookies for her birthday (which she had said would be rainbow theme). Her eyes got big and that’s when the dinosaur rainbow combo was born.
I knew I wanted to do pastel colors instead of classic rainbow colors to keep it extra girly, and my first stop for pastel rainbow goodies was Ellie & Piper ~ the go-to shop for party supplies and other fun goodies! I also found some other fun goodies online, like the colorful dinosaur hats and the dino boxes we used as party favors.
For the cake, I bought a relatively plain pink cake from the grocery store and added candles, dinosaur cut-outs from Blushingwitdesign and a pastel cake banner from Lynn’s Mix.
I bought custom-color pastel balloons to use on our Party Zealot balloon arch. Blushingwitdesign custom made the cutest pastel colored printables for us so I could make pendants for my flower bouquets. And Frost Your Cookie sent us DIY cookie decorating kits which are so much fun for kids!
And lastly, Little Blue Olive custom-made Chloe’s birthday hat and it’s something I will cherish forever. It’s beautifully made and was so darn cute in her photos.
Chloe had a great time, and I had so much fun putting it all together for her. I still cannot believe my girl is FIVE already. Birthdays are the best, but gosh they can be bittersweet, too!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy seeing all the party details 🙂
xoxo,
Heidi
