It’s Teacher Appreciation Week in May, and it’s the perfect time to not only honor a teacher who has worked hard all year, but also encourage her/him as the year comes to a close. The last few weeks of school are so draining! I remember how challenging it was to finish out the year strong in spite of being so tired and emotionally drained. Teaching is truly a work of the heart; its no easy job.
This gift idea is meant to give a special teacher in your life a boost of encouragement and energy as they enter into that last month or so of school. I love the personalization aspect, and of course I color coordinated everything because I’m extra like that!
In my graphic are some specific items that work great for this survival kit idea, but don’t forget the basic necessities: chocolate and a coffee giftcard! If you know your teacher well and those are not items on their wishlist, go for hard candy or mints and include a giftcard for a favorite restaurant or smoothie shop instead. But honestly, a giftcard was the only thing I ever really wanted as a teacher ~ there is nothing like a free coffee or meal to put an extra pep in your step!
For the final touch on my own kits I created, I added this cute tag and poem designed by June & Joy Paperie. That extra personalized touch makes all the difference!
Here is a list of general items perfect for a teacher survival kit:
Chocolate/candy/mints
Eye soothing patches
Facials/Bath bombs/Facial Spray
Tissues/Hand sanitizer/Chapstick
Notes of encouragement
Pins/Patches/Key Chains
Energy fizz sticks/energy tea bags
Advil/relaxing oils

And if you don’t want to shop around, I created a graphic below with exact links underneath for these items. I hope this is helpful and inspires you to gift a deserving teacher a survival kit!
